Austinist Show Preview: Red Sparowes, My Education, and Me Infecto at Emo's

LA based Red Sparowes features members of post-metal mainstays such as Isis and Neurosis. Conjuring equally experimental, noise laden masterpieces is also Red Sparowes’ forte, and they bring the rock to Austin in support of their last release, Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun. The band’s droning, metal soundscapes will be preceded by local (multi) instrumentalists My Education. Their Spiegel im Speigel project, a two-track take on the Arvo Pärt piece from 1978, is due in March of this year. Recorded by the Oktopus and featuring Dälek, it should be an interesting addition to their catalogue of work. Sludgy metal from Me Infecto rounds off the bill.
