I talked to one of the managers once and he told me it would take another 30 to 60 days until they will be able to sell glasses of wine. Currently, you can only buy bottles and take them home, since they don't have a permit to drink there--except for the occassional wine tasting. Before you decide to take a hot date there, you might want to call first.

I STOPPED IN FOR SOME 2007 MD-20 VINTAGE BECAUSE THE RUMOR UNDER THE I35 BRIDGE IS THAT IS A GRATE VINTATE AND THE PRICE IS JUST RIGHT, BUT THEY HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS NO SHOES NO SERVICE. NOW MY LEFT SHOE WAS STOLEN A FEW WEEKS BACK SO I ONLY HAVE MY RIGHT SHOE. I DID HAVE A AT LEAST ONE SHOE, SO WHY DIDNT THEY LET ME IN? I WAS PISSED. I MEAN, I HAD COLD HARD CHANGE TO SPEND AND AS A BUSINESS YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD TAKE MY LEGAL TENDER, BUT NO, THEY KICKED ME AND CC RIGHT OUT THE DOOR. PFFFFFT. I THINK I'LL STICK TO "GATO NEGRO" BECAUSE AT LEAST IT HAS A CORK. TWISTY TOP WINES ARE NOT MY TYPE, BUT ME AND CC AIN'T PICKY. EVEN THOUGH CC IS A SOPHISTICATED PIT BULL, HE STILL LIKES TO DRINK THE CHEAP STUFF. I'VE TRIED TO EDUCATE HIM ON THE GOOD STUFF BUT HE AIN'T HAVING NONE OF IT. I'M GOING TO START A PETITION AND I HOPE EVERYONE SIGNS.

This is like the perfect example for why suburban zoning is STOOPID. Can't get Guadalupe to redevelop with better stuff until we stop making each little business supply a bunch of off-street parking; but can't get people on the side streets to understand that it's OK (sometimes even cool) for people to park "in front of their house". Hint: I have as much right to park in front of your house as you do; so cut it out. Unless you enjoy seeing Guadalupe fester in a state of blight forever.
