Benefit Concert for Javier Arista Tonight

Javier Arista, a 25-year-old local musician/writer/actor/performer extraordinaire, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September, and is currently undergoing expensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment in Dallas. Like so many artists here in Austin, Javier does not have health insurance. In an effort to offset the cost of his medical care, Javier’s closest friends have organized a benefit concert in his honor at Arts on Real, which has graciously donated their space. Tonight’s lineup includes performances by City of Thieves, RAD Dancers, The Noise Revival Orchestra Experience and Bobby the Greek.

The suggested donation is $10 but any donation amount is welcome. There will also be art, books, cds and other items available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Javier Arista Medical Fund.

If you are unable to attend the benefit, you can also send positive energy, thoughts and prayers to Javier and his family.
