Terror Thursdays Presents Troll 2

troll_2_2-1-07.jpgDoes Troll 2 deserve the title "Worst Movie Ever Made"? Well, that's debatable—there are a lot of god-awful movies out there, each with distinctively sucktastic qualities. Picking a "worst" is a highly personal affair (have you seen Diary of the Dead, starring Hector Elizondo? It's probably the only movie we've ever seen that we'd describe as "utterly unwatchable under any circumstances").

But one thing's for sure: this 1990 horror film—which actually has no formal connection to its 1986 predecessor, and features a grand total of zero trolls—is so goddamn awful that it's brilliant. From the painful acting to the hilarious "effects", this thing is brutally, unrelentingly bad. Yet somehow, despite all that (or maybe because of all that), we absolutely love it - and we think you will too. Though if you don't completely trust our taste in awful horror movies, check out this clip.

Not that it matters, but the plot revolves around a young boy who is forced to defend his family from a town full of evil, man-eating goblins. Along the way, food is urinated on, a cob of corn is involved in a sexual act, and dialog is delivered with Jeremy London-like ineptitude, all to hilarious effect.

Tonight, Alamo Terror Thursdays presents a free screening of this stinky masterpiece, featuring several cast members live in person, free green milk and cookies and a limited number of goblin masks. Could this be the movie event of the decade? We're going to go ahead and say...probably.
