Alex Jones Conspires to Sell DVDs

terrorstorm_dvdjacket.jpgLooking for something to do this Saturday Sunday night? The secret rulers of the burgeoning global police state would like you to get wasted at the Chuggin' Monkey and not ask any questions, but the ever-vigilant Alex Jones knows better. He'll be at BookPeople talking about his latest DVD documentary, TerrorStorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism.

Spanning a multitude of media, Alex Jones is known for his syndicated radio program, local cable television show and a web presence that includes infowars.com and prisonplanet.com. He is undoubtedly Austin's favorite conspiracy theorist. It is claimed that he predicted the attacks of 9/11 in July of 2001. Jones made a similar prediction last August and, according to the Alex Jones Wikipedia entry as of January 25, 2007, when "no such terrorist attacks occurred" Jones "pooped himself he was so happy." This is just another instance of why Wikipedia is great.

If you're serious about getting an alternative, Charlie Sheen-endorsed perspective of our contemporary global political climate or if you're just plain tired of being spoon-fed lies by corporate media, stop by BookPeople tomorrow Sunday night at 8PM to see Alex Jones. For your consideration, here is the trailer for TerrorStorm:

Disclaimer: Despite being listed as Saturday, January 27th on BookPeople's web-site, the event with Alex Jones is in fact taking place on Sunday, January 28th. Oops! Sorry for any inconvenience... love,
Austinist.

Read "Them: Journeys With Extremists" by Jon Ronson. The last fourth of the book features Alex Jones, in the role of extremist. It's a good read that sheds some light on believers in global conspiracy.
