Already considered the "Best New Club in Austin" by those who know, the Mohawk continues its ever-accelerating expansion with the introduction of the Grizzly Bar, a "happy hour saloon" that will operate inside the Mohawk from 5-8pm on most days. Think of it as a place to enjoy a leisurely post-work drink before really starting your evening programming.

The Grizzly Bar will be a daily platform for political banter, beer pyramids, spitting, and arm wrestling. Drinks will be cheap. Foosball will be foosball. Whiskey pours will be significant. Hank Williams will be played.

Tonight's soft opening features catered food from Taco Deli, ultra-affordable saloon bar drink prices, and solo sets by the very talented Joshua Huck (Black Before Red) and Monte Holman (ex Quiet, Lovely) -- both of whom happen to be beloved Austinist staffers.
