SXSW 2007 Band Update: 340 Strong And Counting

sxsw_green_display.jpg Another week has passed, and somehow there's a full Coachella lineup available but still no official word from SXSW. The Austin Chronicle did report that the powers that be intend to issue an official list sometime next week, so in the interim, we bring you round three of our unofficial but quite accurate SXSW 2007 band list. Interesting additions this week include Sloan, The Pipettes, Apples In Stereo, The Rosebuds, Beach House, Robyn Hitchcock, and the surprising chance of a Meat Puppets reunion gig. Many thanks to our readers for submitting links to some of these confirmations.

The Meat Puppets performed this past weekend at La Zona Rosa after the Army of Anyone show.

user-pic

Loxsly, that rowdy local band of serial killers, are in.

user-pic

OMG...TJAMC at Coachella?!

If only...if ONLY...they would come to SXSW.

user-pic

meat puppets, eh? how cool could that be? Still waiting to see Strawfoot, Slim Cessna, Woven Hand and/or Humanwine in the lineup before I book a flight, though.

user-pic

meat puppets...sweet...I'm still holding out for strawfoot and/or humanwine...

user-pic

65daysofstatic? *spooge*

user-pic

I heard strawfoot WOULD be there, but their website has no mention of it...guess we'll have to keep our fingers crossed...could be as mythical a rumor as ben kweller filling in for a nirvana reunion.

user-pic

I got an email from strawfoot's singer that said if they do go to sxsw, they'll be stopping off in Denton (my town), Dallas, and maybe even Houston on the way, so I really hope they do come. They only seem to tour the midwest, usually, so it would be cool to get them down here.
