This show has been canceled due to the on-going ice storm. -ed.
Emo's Lounge, in its relative infancy, has already come into its own as a indie-rock venue unafraid of breaking the mold to host more diverse acts. We've seen some great shows, drank our share of reasonably priced drinks, and used the rather odd restrooms, thus far being more than satisfied with the place. Tonight will be no different, with a great lineup thats sure to expand your personal sonic lexicon. After being cooped up during the recent ice storms, its about time you get out of the house before you start imagining that your roommate's head is a big, juicy hamburger.
A Hawk and Hacksaw, founded by legendary indie-weirdos Neutral Milk Hotel's drummer, is a rare breed in this scene. Mostly instrumental, their Eastern Europe meets early 20th century Americana would even make Tom Waits jealous. They'll be supported by locals Weird Weeds in all their wispy delicateness, and singer songwriter Ralph White, who desperately needs a myspace page we can link to.
Put on your buttflapped thermals and get on down there!
