Dell and Freescale Ahead of the Curve on GLBT Equality

The Human Rights Campaign has unveiled the 2007 edition of the Best Places to Work for GLBT Equality. Companies are evaluated based on factors including non-discrimination policies and partner benefits availability. Among the employers recognized are Austin-based companies Dell Inc. (well, Round Rock-based, but close enough) and Freescale Semiconductor Inc. Both companies have non-discrimination policies covering sexual orientation and gender identity and offer benefits for same-sex partners.

Way to be progressive, Dell and Freescale. Now, if only we could get more local employers to follow suit.
