Give Us Your Poor, Your Tired, Your Huddled Musicians Yearning to Release CDs...

Do you live in Austin? Of course you do. Are you in a band? Of course you are, you live in Austin. Well, we here at the Austinist, renowned bastion of local music support, are introducing a new column on the last Friday of every month to broadcast your band's aural accomplishments to the rest of the community. So, if your band, or a friend's band, or your professor's band, or your ex's band, or your side-project is releasing an album (EP, LP, Comp, whatev) send it to Austinist's own Joshua Huck along with any relevant info and most likely it will get a brief review including links to purchase and band website/Myspace. We're talking free publicity here, folks. In addition, if you have an important upcoming show, include that info and we'll plug it. Depending on response we'll see how many we can get to, but we'll do as much as we can. Local music is our bread and butter here in A-town. We want to be the...um...jelly.

P.S. Obviously, Josh will need a copy of your album so email him at music@austinist.com and include "Last Friday Locals" in the subject line.
