As far as music goes, I'm most excited for Girl Talk at the present moment.
Morrissey? Again?
DUDE Interpol finally came up out of their cave on the moon. They better not have turned into The Killers with all that Capitol Records money.
Kasabian will be here as well
If Interpol resurfaces with mustaches I'm boycotting music in general.
Three words: Les. Savy. Fav.
I have a negative emotional response to Interpol ever since some dude pissed on the floor in front of me at an Interpol show in Buffalo. Come to think of it, I get an inordinate amount of other people's urine on my pants.
It's also worth noting that the Chronicle is reporting that SXSW is intentionally holding back the big master band list for a couple of weeks due to rampant day-party "poaching" last year. Personally, I doubt it will make a big difference.
Srsly Math, pee gravitates to you.
Party poaching is a serious crime.
What is day party poaching?
how can i get tickets?
how can i get tickets?
I love Temposhark, I can't believe they are coming to US at long last. I've loved their music for about a year and they never came to play live here. See y'all in Texas :P Sarah xx
BIG ORANGE!
Why do the organizers of sxsw care so much about party poaching? They are making enough money with the rate they charge for passes....
People having parties are not allowed to even put sxsw on a flyer without the threat of being sued.....What a joke!!
A majority of bands that end up playing here think it is not worth it in the end. They end up playing for record company people who could care less about the bands they are watching.
A singer from a well known group told me last year sxsw is like playing in front of a bunch of penguins.
