Hot on the heels of Emo's being listed as one of Playboy.com's top rock clubs, Nightclub & Bar magazine today published their annual Editors' Choice Top 100 rankings of bars and clubs in the country. VICCI and Stubb's BBQ both made the list.
The two venues couldn't be more different: the former is a ritzy, bleached-blonde dance club in the swanky Warehouse District, while the latter serves up Texas-sized helpings of rock and roll in the decidedly un-glam Red River District.
In selecting their top spots, Nightclub & Bar was careful to point out that the list doesn't merely list "the most high-end, of-the-moment nightclubs." Rather, they're chosen from clubs, neighborhood dives, sports bars, and family-oriented venues using a spectrum of metrics that include annual revenues, marketing and advertising effectiveness, promotional expertise, uniqueness to market, and food and beverage options.
Other Texas venues on the list include Billy Bob's Texas (Fort Worth), Louie's Backyard (South Padre), Mercy Wine Bar (Addison), Midnight Rodeo (San Antonio), and Sherlock's Baker Street Pub (Houston).
