Austinist Giveaway: New Year's Eve with Car Stereo (Wars) at the Beauty Bar

Relive those halcyon days of flannel shirts and Gin Blossoms this New Year's Eve, as the folks of Car Stereo (Wars) present SWISSmas: A '90s-themed party at the Beauty Bar.

Outside, local super group SWISS, drawn from members of The Gloria Record, Zykos, and more, will be performing apropos hits from the likes of Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer and all the alt classics you know and still love. Inside, the mixmasters behind Car Stereo (Wars) promise to blend modern dance tracks with "'90s cheese."

"Think Prince's '1999' mixed with The Knife's 'Heartbeats,' and you'll have the idea. Or think of The Rapture mixed with Tone Loc or Tag Team," says CS(W) founder and DJ Chris Rose.

For the rest of the week, we'll be giving away a pair of tickets each day. Enter below for your chance to get in for free!

Update: Congrats, Matt Eggers!

    HUH?

Jubcha, please fall into a deep dark well and die. Die a slow agonizing death in all lower case letters only. Your incessant need to write moronic tripe with non-stop misspellings has become insanely tedious. Toodles!
