Well, i went the Factory People the other day and bought a great pair of Cheap Monday denims for $65. They certainly don't force any jeans on you whether they cost $65 or $650. They provide a choice for people who want those kinds of clothes though. Horses for Courses y'know. Some people do want to spend loads of money on jeans, others don't. Those who do want to spend that much aren't neccessarily that judgemental on people who don't though. Live and let live. And that's that. Bill, over and out...

i have actually always had really good luck at Factory People. Granted, i can't always afford to buy the clothing there, but their staff has always been really helpful and knowledgable about the brands that they carry. i think people go to Factory People expecting a New York attitude, but they have deffinately proven to be very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work guys!

I went in there one time. Saw the price tags and the staff looking down their noses at my $200 Seven jeans and knew that there was something wrong going down on Soco. But hey, they're keepin' it weird, lol. Glad to see the core becoming so damn expensive that no one but the well off can live there. Well, I do, but I refuse to pay $600 for denim. I'm just a little bit smarter than that.

I went to one of their roof-top soirees and was rudely told to leave because it was a "private party" (even though it was advertised in the Chronicle). So I'll never be going back. New York style is fine but I can live without the New York attitude.

ummmm, the words men and boutique should never be mentioned in the same breath. Call me old-school, but Academy, Mervyns, and hand-me-downs suit all my "fashion" needs. $20 Levi's beat the hell out of $200 designer jeans any day.
