Centro-Matic and Friends @ Emo's Tonight

Austin may be the "Live Music Capital of The World", but there is a relatively dry season. Once UT lets out for the fall semester and this city shuts up for the holidays, what's an audiophile to do? Suggestion: like bears that build up fat deposits to live off of once they retire to their relatives' caves to hibernate, you should catch a few great shows to delay the onset of withdrawals. Tonight, Emo's will be hosting one such show, and it is beholden upon you to make it out. Its either that or risk spending the next three weeks clutching your knees in the shower, weeping.
Pink Nasty, the more socially acceptable sister of Black Nasty, will open with her yearnin' "neurotic pop-rock". Once Those Peabodys take over, things will take a turn for the odd, shellacking the audiences with their hook-heavy rock sensibilities. Denton indie icons Centro-Matic will finish the evening off, featuring the gnarled voice and melodic mastery of Will Johnson backed by a tried and true combo of crack musicians. Its a yearn-rock muffaletta, and they want you to be the olive tapenade.
