Cursive / Jeremy Enigk at Emo's
It took ten years for ex-Sunny Day Real Estate front man Jeremy Enigk to release a follow-up to his first solo album, Return Of The Frog Queen - and it's been well worth the wait. Though not as grandiose as its predecessor, World Waits (released through Enigk's own Lewis Hollow Records) combines all the best bits of Enigk's various projects. And though it doesn't cover much new musical ground, World Waits will definitely please fans of Jeremy's finely-tuned baroque pop style (we think it's the best Enigk-related record since How It Feels To Be Something On).
This Saturday, Enigk will be in town opening for indie rock stalwarts Cursive, who are touring in support of Happy Hollow, the follow up to their 2003 critical smash The Ugly Organ. We've seen Cursive, and they're good. And despite the loss of Cellist Gretta Cohn, they're sure to bring the emotive indie-rock ruckus.
We'd love to send you to the show, and to sweeten the deal we're throwing in a signed copy of World Waits for our lucky winner. Fill out the form below and cross your fingers, folks.
Congratulations, Andrea!
