Hot Real Estate Listings

For Sale Banner.jpg

Just when you thought you didn't know what to expect from this column ... WHAM! We hit you with a surprise-free set of newly listed houses near downtown, just like we did before we started mixing things up. Didn't see that coming, did you? Here are this week's listings:

66Navasota.jpg66 Navasota Street - $142,000; 960 square feet. Built in 1934. Nice looking house with a great east side location. Great trees in the back, some exceptionally tall cylindrical (hedges?) in the front. Interior pics aren't great, but it looks like this could be an amazing house with a little work. Appears to be a great deal at this price.

704Highland.jpg704 Highland Avenue - $495,000, 2,089 square feet. Built in 1920. On one of the nicest blocks in Clarksville. Larger than it looks from the outside. No interior pics in the listing, but this might be worth a visit.

911Cardinal.jpg911 Cardinal Lane - $349,900, 1,759 square feet. Built in 1960. Funktastic 60's shed on large lot in south Bouldin. Great landscaping and nice shaded outdoor area. This picture is of the back of the house - the front is a little more traditional.

Photos from Justin Cox, Hernandez Real Estate, AvenueOne Properties, and Resident Realty.

the last house has an outdoor shower.

that's hot.

why do you use a pic of kickpleat on s. first as your masthead photo for this section? it's a retail store.

It is a retail store, but it is also a house. IMHO, a particularly nice house, just the kind of house that might get featured on this column, were it for sale. Plus, I think it is a particularly nice photo by our in house photog, Justin Cox, a.k.a. Juice. Plus, I couldn't find any other pictures that I liked better. Plus, I want to use that picture.

You mean professional photographer Justin "Juice" Cox? I love his stuff.

I'd be interested in an "all Exposition Rd." version of this article. I drive home every day and see houses for sale on Exposition that I’m interested to know more about.

Although I should be clear- by “interested” I mean interested enough to turn my head and look at them- either while I’m driving on Exposition or while reading the Austinist, not interested as in willing to spend the time to find them myself on MLS.

There are plenty of ugly new builds that are too close together juxtaposed by cute one-levels that have probably been there since the ‘40s. So choose your angle; sarcastic article about ugly, newly built homes or loving article on Tarrytown bungalows. You seem to have a handle on both.
