We're moving quickly into the holiday season, but this week there are no holiday-themed movies. Rejoice! Because there will be. Dear God, there will be.
*Stranger Than Fiction
We love seeing talented "funny guys" attempt less-over-the-top acting, especially when they do it well (see: Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Freddie Prinze, Jr. - oh wait, he's neither funny nor talented). We commend you, Mr. Ferrell. Please be our friend?
*Babel
Multicultural interconnection, global complexity, blah blah blah...Brad Pitt looks old. Score one for Team Aniston!
A Good Year
That Russell Crowe, he's so dreamy...we wish he'd throw a phone at our head.
Harsh Times
It's been a good couple of years for Christian Bale. Not so good for us, because he hasn't yet responded to our marriage proposal(s). He's probably just too busy right now...yeah, that's it.
The Return
We're starting to wonder if Sarah Michelle Gellar's resume now reads simply: "Will star in any sub-par horror film for food."
*Army of Shadows
The French really can make decent movies. And sandwiches.
Boynton Beach Club
We'll keep this movie in mind when we're looking for something to watch when we're retired.
Cocaine Cowboys
We're not sure what to say about this one, but when we first saw the title we thought it was a documentary about a certain current administration.
Facing the Giants
A movie that proves football and God go together like fraternities and binge drinking.

Pecan Street Project Gets $10.4 Million Stimulus Grant

Stranger Than Fiction is one of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in quite a while. I highly reccomend it.
