How funny. I had this vague memory--so vague that I thought I might have imagined it--of seeing a camel at 6th & Lamar one day. This was the same week I saw a peacock on Oltorf. I hadn't lived here very long, and it freaked me out a bit. On another note, I think it's odd that people think the city has anything to do with this.

I think the city should leave the shell of an Intel building standing as a reminder of what happens when irrational booms turn to busts. Of course, we could get a new half-built reminder in the next few years as the condo boom goes busts. Wonder if all of those new towers will be completed?

Wasn't the site a car dealership at one time? I think it's the location where a car dealer used to stand on the curb with a camel on a leash to get attention.
