ACL Taping: Corinne Bailey Rae

British songstress Corinne Bailey Rae will bring her soulful sound to the intimate environs of Austin City Limits tomorrow night. The 27 year-old Leeds native, who began singing church hymns as a child, began her professional career adding her voice to tunes by The New Mastersounds, Homecut Directive and The Stix. In 2006, she finally broke out on her own, with her self-titled debut cd that debuted at #1 on the UK charts, making her only the fourth woman in history to achieve that accomplishment.

There will be a ticket drop for her show today at 5:45pm at KLRU studios.

KLRU is located on the University of Texas campus at the corner of Dean Keeton and Guadalupe. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
