Once upon a time in Nottingham, England's "Capital of Crime," four young working-class lads met and started a band. The brill quartet was spearheaded by Nic Armstrong, but it's no secret that Johnny Aitken, Shane Lawlor and Glenn Wedgewood are all incredibly talented and undoubtedly the dog's bollocks.
If you weren't as arsholed as the rest of us at Austinist's recent Local Music Is Sexy do, you probably remember the cracking quartet's impressive live set, and walked away from the dance floor feeling a bit fruity. Don't worry, we were gobsmacked, too.
IV Thieves reside in Austin now, and this is a big week for them: their video for "You Can't Love What You Don't Understand" is featured on mtvU's The Freshmen, their CD, If We Can't Escape My Pretty drops tomorrow, and tonight is the CD release party. Looks like things are tickety-boo, lads.
Join your fellow Texan Englishmen tonight at Habana to celebrate! Or go as a VIP, courtesy of Austinist and New West Records! Bees Knees!
Congrats, lass. Get your knickers on and head out, you're running late!
