Longhorn Nation Trembles….

utstadium1.jpg

Baylor's top Cornerback C.J. Wilson is predicting the possibility of an upset for Saturday's match vs. The University of Texas. Although Wilson is tied atop the Big Twelve leader board for most interceptions, we don't believe there will be much chance for his forecast of "The I-35 Surprise."

The AAS reported on the story with quotes from both Wilson and Longhorn running back Selvin Young. "If you beat Texas, the rest of the Big 12 will be scared,'' Wilson said. "People won't know what to do. You'll have Sports Illustrated down here trying to see what's going on. Dr. Phil will be down here asking questions."

Asked about Wilson's comments, Longhorns running back Selvin Young responded, "It's like a barking dog — when you hit them in the mouth, they usually fold up and back down."

"If I was a betting man, I'd bet anything on our defense against their offense any day of the week."

    – Baylor cornerback C. J. Wilson, still talking smack after his prediction of the "I-35 surprise" fell flat. Three of Texas QB Colt McCoy's six touchdown passes went to receivers Wilson was covering

It's cool. Calm down. He didn't mean dog dogs. He meant dogs as in ugly chicks. Not as in cute puppies. That's all. Nothing to get worried about. Calm yourselves. Any football player can tell you that sometimes a woman just needs five across the eye. Right SY?

Super classy of Mr. Young, and like Josh said, 'Selvin Young hits dogs?'. Big surprise, right? Even if I hated Baylor or had no respect for them, I don't think it's appropriate to make statements like that to the Statesman. Give you opponent more respect than they deserve, that way you can take the high road.

Sadly, this just seems typical of the attitude of UT (fans, students, players, etc.) in general when talking about Baylor....

Selvin Young hits dogs? I for one am outraged.

  • I'm predicting the possibility of a win. From either side. It's GOING to happen. Miss Cleo told me. Because if talking head tv prognosticators have taught me anything it's that whomever has the most points at the end of the game will be the winner.

  • There's always the possibility of an upset, so to predict the "possibility" of one is absurd.

I WAS DOWN AT BAYLOR AND SAW THEIR WORKOUTS. THESE CATS...I MEAN...BEARS LOOK TUFF. BUT I SEE ALL AND NOTICED SOME CRACKS IN THEIR GAME. I'VE SENT WORD TO GREGG DAVIS ON HIS PERSONAL LINE. I HOPE HE LISTENS THIS TIME AND NOT LIKE LAST TIME WHEN I TOLD HIM TO BENCH SIMMS AND PLAY APPLEWHITE. DID HE LISTEN TO JUB? I DONT KNOW...YOU TELL ME.

    I'M WORRIED.
