FactoryPeople's Third Birthday Celebration Weekend With Crate Denim and DFA Records (And Austinist Giveaway)

Ever since renovating the space where Just Guns used to reside, FactoryPeople's clothed tons of fabulous Austinites, thrown dozens of rockstar parties, and brought sexy back to Central Texas. What's next?

Well, this week they're turning three.

Thursday Night: they're bringing in DFA Records' DJs Tim Sweeney and Juan Maclean, along with DJ Ramesh from Voxtrot, to spin instore from 7-10pm. Come and enjoy complimentary cocktails on the rooftop deck, or check out Boom Chica Boom go-go girls on the dance floor. Afterwards, the party heads over to Whisky Bar, where Learning Secrets' Ian Orth will be battling it out on the turntables with the DFA wunderkinds.

Friday and Saturday afternoons: Crate Denim designers Chad Hilton and Jason Fischer are coming in for custom fittings -- get a pair of one-of-a-kind jeans tailored specifically for your derrieres extraordinaire ($200-250) -- while designer Christina Rodriguez of jewelry artisans Arms and Armory shows off her latest accessories.

Because we're particularly fond of the fine folks of Factory, we're helping them celebrate this special anniversary by giving away a pair of their ultra-limited, special-edition jeans made by Los Angeles-based designers Crate Denim. Dubbed "The Thomas," these jeans are being made exclusively for FactoryPeople's third birthday, modeled after owner Thomas Popov's "comfortable, straight leg" preference. Made using 33-year-old U.S.-spun denim, the jeans feature the FactoryPeople story screenprinted on the inside pockets.
