This pointless prequel has a few good moments with R. Lee Ermey but little else going for it in my opinion. I wasn't remotely unnerved or concerned for the characters at any point (always a bad sign for a horror movie), and since it's a prequel to the remake you already know going in that nothing of interest will happen to Leatherface and his "family" -- so what on earth is the point other than to cash in yet again on this franchise?
