Dick. Price. The man featured regularly featured on Dr. Demento's radio show, the man who used to release new, weird-ass songs every day, free to all by calling his personal voicemail (he's since upgraded to posting them on the internet) -- this man, this great man, has teamed up with local underground theatre mayhem-makers, Rubber Repertory, and written a musical. Again.
Last year's smash hit success At Home With Dick was nothing short of a phenomenon. Staged at Dick's actual home (an apartment in Hyde Park), the show sold out like a bazillion nights in a row, prompting extension after extension until its reputation became that of legends.
At Home With Dick 2 focuses on Dick's father's battle with Alzheimer's Disease, race relations in Waco, TX, and the healing powers of Jane Austen. The tag line of the show is "all-singing, all-dancing, Alzheimer's." Holy shit. Here's some Dick teaser music, just to put you in the mood:
