Comedy fans already knew that the best alt.comics are coming to Austin this fall, but it appears that the well-known ones are as well.
Jerry Seinfeld has just announced a one-off performance at UT's Bass Concert Hall on Friday, November 3rd. Don't be surprised to see a second 'late' show appear for the same night if the first one sells out quickly.
Tickets went on sale today at noon via UTPAC.org. We have to assume that Mr. Seinfeld simply loves his craft, because he earned $100 million in 2005. So it's not about the cash, but being the master of his domain, perhaps?

Sure. It's not about the cash. We're sure he's donating the $80 freakin bucks a pop to charity. Not keeping a cent. Just for fun.
In our era of $250 Who and $350 Rolling Stones tickets, a $78 orchestra ticket to see America's most popular comedian in a theatre actually isn't so horrible. If you're into that sort of thing. But it's certainly not for the faint of wallet, we grant that.
