Austin Film Festival Announces Lineup
For years, the Austin Film Festival has been one of our favorite events of the year. In the true independent spirit of the town which name it bears, the festival is committed to nurturing and celebrating the work of aspiring filmmakers. Their vision includes the celebration not just of directors and actors, but of the people behind the scenes, most notably, the unsung heroes - the screenwriters.
They announced their unbelievable lineup today, and we have it for you below. In addition to the excellent films, the week also offers seminars, panel discussions and some most excellent parties. This year's festival runs from October 19-26.

Once you see the ridiculous amount of excellent work on display, you will be ready to buy your pass/badge. At only $35 for a movie pass, this is definitely one of the best deals to be had all year. As with all festivals, the pass will get you into the screenings only after badge holders have gained access, but before individual ticket holders. But we've gotten into about 75% of our preferred films over the years with a pass, so don't shy away. Buy your film passes and badges here.
As an added incentive, if you register now for a badge, you will be eligible for a pair of tickets to see the Rolling Stones at Zilker Park.
