"Austin City Limits": It Doesn't Get Any Better
We all know that "Austin City Limits" is one of the finest television shows in the country. The intimate venue provides an enchanting atmosphere in which musicians can feel at home. Ever since we started watching it as wee ones in the 70s, we've been in love. It seems others share our passion.
Paste Magazine's The Best 24 Hours on Television issue has named "Austin City Limits" the best place for music on television. "Austin City Limits" is the only music show featured on the list, which also includes "Lost," "American Experience," "The Office," "Independent Lens," "24," "Deadwood" and "Battlestar Galactica."

For those first 25 years, Austin City Limits was the showcase for the best in live roots-rock, country, blues and Americana. Now - with the more-open-minded approach of the last several years and coming 32nd season - it's simply the best place on TV for live music, period.
You're damn right it is.
"Austin City Limits" was also included at number 44 in the Paste reader's poll on the top 50 shows on television.
And if you don't believe us or Paste Magazine, or its readers (who voted ACL the 44th best show on television), just take a look at some of the artists to be featured in the upcoming season: Cat Power, Sufjan Stevens, The Raconteurs, Alejandro Escovedo and many more.
