The Peacock’s First Birthday Has A First Name

humpday.JPGThere’s nothing that says “happy first birthday!” like a hotdog. Nothing.

Seriously. Nothing. So put down that abalone asiago d'allevo and pay attention.

This Wednesday (Sep 27th) is The Peacock’s first year anniversary, and they’re celebrating it with all the style and class befitting the foodier taste buds of our fine interdigitubinal publication. Hot Dogs own you. They rule you. And that’s because they’re delicious, healthy, and only for the upperest of crusts.

From the mouth of The Peacock itself:

That's right. The Peacock has been mixing 'em strong for a year now. And we'd like to thank everyone who's supported us by throwing a special event dedicated to the good life. Come celebrate with us this Wednesday as we inaugurate HOT DOG HUMP DAY: Everybody gets a weenie.

From now on, Hump Day means Everybody Gets A Weenie. And on Wednesday, September 27th, every Weenie we serve is FREE. In order to match the quality of our cocktails, Peacock Pups are only the best all-beef franks, with several relishes to top it off. And what better way to wash one down than with the Peacock Cocktail of the Week. We make the best Rob Roy in town, and this week they're only $2.50! Come join in the good times.

Whoa, “several relishes”? Good times indeed! What the hell is a Rob Roy! We don’t know but it sounds fancy! Exclamation! Sweet!

Has it only been a year? Geez, it seems like an eternity since I've been ignoring the peacock.

  • "Hot Dog Hump Day, everyone gets a weenie" is the funniest name/tag for a party ever.

    sober.blood.boiling.

  • I think that's a Roy Rogers, which is blasphemy.

    Isn't a Rob Roy non-alcoholic?
