Also, about the Kinky/racism...he was poking fun at racists. It was a satyrical bit, according to other articels I've read, though admittedly I haven't seen the tape. Your headline is doing what all those other headlines are doing. You know a lot of people will only read the headline and not follow up on the story, and by printing such a line, you know lots of people will assume Kinky's a racist, case closed. Bad Austinist! It is interesting. Carole Strayhorn raises money to compete with Perry, and the others attack her for being able to build support playing by the same campaign rules everybody else does. She should unilaterally disarm? Give us a break. Go get 'em Grandma. When she says she will shake things up -- take it to the bank. This woman is tough and unafraid to ruffle a few feathers in Austin.
