Government Sponsored Terrorism...With A Bucket of Beer

Alex_Jones.jpgAlex Jones must be grinning from ear to ear, as most conspiracy theorists do when they think their ideas, brushed off by most, are finding more and more credence. Today, the White House released The National Strategy for Combating Terrorism, a new security strategy that takes less emphasis on "extremist networks" like Al-Qaeda and more on the countries that back them, like Iran. No better timing for Jones, whose film, which premieres tonight, predicts steps just like these.

Alex Jones, the Austin original and nationally-infamous one-man-media blitzkrieg of government suspicion, is releasing his new documentary tonight, TerrorStorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar. In the two-hour documentary, Jones touches on 9/11, Iraq, 7/7 bombings in London and a predicted slow movement towards an invasion of Iran. If you caught his last film, Martial Law: 9/11 Rise of the Police State, you know The Drafthouse event offered sold-out theatres, typical Big Brother banter and an always entertaining Jones for Q&A after the show. The TerrorStorm premiere should be no different.

If you can't make it to the film tonight, tide yourself over on his website Info Wars to learn about "fingerprint scanners for kids," "embedded microchips" and "the occult practices of the global elite," then catch one of the four other showings playing throughout the month.

Watch the trailer after the jump.
