This Week in Sketch and Improv: August 25th & 26th
Continuing our weekly series on all things sketch and improv in Atown, the Austinist previews some of the shows that have tickled our fancy playing in next week's Out of Bounds festival. Additionally, we list shows around the city, for those looking to support your home team comedy this weekend.
Out of Bounds Tip of the Week
Double Feature The final show of this year's Out of Bounds festival is (surprisingly) not the headliner show on Sunday. This show - Double Feature - will close out the fest by improvising two films (that have never been made) at the same time. We've seen similar shows played out in other cities with mixed results, and are normally wary of any show format that is trademarked. However, based on the buzz around the cast, this show is might just be the sleeper hit of the festival.
Monday, September 4th
8pm@ The Hideout Theatre

The Out of Bounds Cagematch - Semi Finals
Last week, The Leading Brands polished off cheat loving Fart Clown Glasses to advance to the finals. Whomever takes the Friday night match advances to the finals on Saturday, August 26th. In either case, it's going to take more than Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A for one team to emerge victorious and take the final slot.
