Irvine Welsh At the Drafthouse This Weekend

bedroomsecrets.jpgThis weekend, one of the most influential (and controversial) names in contemporary literature will be swooping into town for a book signing and film screening. Irvine Welsh has been smashing up the literary landscape since Trainspotting hit the shelves in 1993, and his latest release, The Bedroom Secrets of the Master Chefs, is already generating much buzz and has even provoked cries of misogyny.

His work is infested with raw, depraved imagery, and some of the most loathsome protagonists imaginable… and it’s all brilliant! Welsh will be here for one night only at the Alamo Downtown to sign copies of his latest release, The Bedroom Secrets of the Master Chefs. He will also take time to answer audience questions and introduce a screening of Danny Boyle's 1996 film adaptation of Trainspotting. It’s an interactive multimedia extravaganza with the biggest champion of the Scottish dialect since Robert Burns. There are all sorts of rules and regulations governing the signing and ticket sales that can be illuminated here. This promises to be amazing.
