DJ Mel Loses Equipment To Casbah-Hating Thieves!

crackedadj.JPG

Well Goddamn. DJ Mel’s equipment got TOOK. Someone done gone and threatened the Rocking of The Casbah! Luckily, Mel has made assurances that the show WILL GO ON, but he is short some personal equipment along with his sense of security.

Apparently, some time last night in the early morn, his car got broken into, and a load of rather important equipment was taken. At least they didn’t get any vinyl. Here’s a list of the equipment stolen, according to Mel:

1. Rane ttm 56 mixer in a flight case.

2. Red Pioneer efx-500, boss 303 sampler in a flight case.

3. A bag of rca, xlr, power strips and a mic.

All of the gear had dj mel stickers on them.

4+/-. The perp also got a radar detector [but that ain’t no instrument-type thing].

If you have any leads, comment about it or contact Mel directly. If you have friends in pawn shops or you deal on craigslist or whatever, then please help keep a lookout. Some lazy-ass fools need to put down the center-punch and go find jobs and shit.

We plan on showing support for those who don’t break into cars by getting extra drunk this Saturday at the 23rd Rock The Casbah. Thieves can’t hold us down!

I'm doubtful that the theives sought to destroy DJ Mel's livlihood- they were just jackasses. But I'll be there this weekend to support him and his borrowed equipment!

Equipment can be replaced...vinyl cannot, just ask Shadow. Sad, to hear....
