Say Goodbye to Summer Party this Weekend

birds.jpgAlthough the 100 degree temperatures aren’t any indication, we're making the turn and heading toward the home stretch of summer. In order to help you stay cool, we’re getting together with a few of our friends this weekend to throw a Say Goodbye to Summer party.

This Saturday night at Birds Barbershop, we’ll have cool music, cool haircuts and the coolest drinks this side of the equator to help you get your summertime swerve on proper.

DJs Coolhand and Hobo D from Friends of Sound will be spinning tracks, while the super-hip, super-hot folks at Birds Barbershop offer their signature cuts at their signature low rates. To add a little hitch in your giddy-up, the Daily Juice will be serving some of the most delicious cocktails your mouth has ever known. Lemon-ginger martinis, “pura” margaritas and Jalapiñas (jalapeno, pineapple and rum) will all be served gratis, giving you one hell of a delicious start to your Saturday night. But, be warned, the drinks and music will both throw you into such a state of absolutely blissed refreshment that you may wake up Sunday morning with a pink Mohawk. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

We wanna see you Saturday night, and just so we know exactly how many scissors and gallons of booze we should have on hand, drop your information in the space provided and let us know you’ll be joining us.

  • Well, AISD started today. And UT starts up soon . . . so in that way, summer is soon ending. I don't think the summer season officially ends until Sept. 22.

well, once the party ends, there will only be about 33 days or so left of 'summer.' i don't know. maybe 'they' meant say goodbye, as in, 'we're gonna blow the roof of the sucka, and render it unrecognizable to you any longer.'

    or something.

    Goodbye? Already?! Huh.
