YouTubeAUSTIN - The Life of Leslie

phpgQ9xQv.crop.jpg

For the third installment of YouTubeAUSTIN, we feature Austin's most popular displaced homeowner, Leslie Cochran. Yeah, the whole Leslie thing is a bit outdated and overdone. Yeah, he gives us a nice chuckle when we see his saggy ass cheeks on our way to a show or bar, but we try to save the gawking, laughing, pointing and picture-taking to the out-of-towners and 21st birthdays.

If you're like most Austinites, you might see Leslie on a daily basis, but rarely do you hear the man. Rumors fly that he is a UT sociology professor doing an extended research study, or a down-and-out lawyer looking to dodge legal troubles. In the comments section, feel free to post your favorite Leslie rumors.

After searching the YouTube vaults once again, we've discovered a thirteen minute internet documentary that attempts to debunk countless rumors, such as where he lives, his sexual preference, how he chooses his outfits for the day or his views on politics and Austin's legal system.

Every time Leslie is spotted, surely a question or thought about what his life must be like shortly follows. For some, this might be one to skip. For others, this YouTube video answers the questions we've all thought about at some point, about a man we all seem to run into a little too often.

Per Austin American Statesman - Years ago, he temporarily lived in an EMPTY Westlake home for awhile. He was asked by the owners to live inside/keep watch while they were selling it and it was vacant. Several other families in Westlake, were not happy about his being there.

There was also another article in the Statesman stating that as a young person, he was in the military and engaged to be married to a female. The engagement didn't work out. If I remember correctly, the article says he hasn't done much of anything since...except for the street gig.

I heard he has a Blackberry, and that he lives with various rich families in Westlake.
