Poverty, famine, political corruption, a fragile ecosystem that is growing more fragile by the day.

The world is facing some serious concerns and we must be very conscientious in the way we move forward if we want to have any hope of leaving it a better place for our children. Author, actor, filmmaker Turk Pipkin felt the weight of these pressing global concerns, so he went and found some of the world’s brightest people to explain how we got here and what hope we have of saving ourselves. What resulted is the wonderful documentary Nobelity.

Nobelity took SXSW Film by storm and has since played to sold-out houses at special engagements at the Paramount Theatre and at over 150 theatres around the country. Recently, Landmark Theatres agreed to a full-release of the documentary with openings scheduled in early August for Boston and Washington D.C. Before heading out east, however, Nobelity gets a full weekend run at the Regal Arbor. So head out this weekend to see the movie about which Harry Knowles said, "Absolutely brilliant. This is one of the most important films of this year or any year."

*These screenings benefit The Nobelity Project, which is launching a Nobelity in Schools program, and will soon be a key player in a follow-up film focusing not on problems, but on solutions. Nobelity.org also has a great t-shirt and print shop that raises money for the nonproft through sales of Nobelity t-shirts, calendars, and framed prints from the shoots in India and Africa*
