Austinist Show Preview: Miranda Sound at Red Eyed Fly Tonight

ms_small.jpgColumbus' Miranda Sound have been warming the hearts of post-punk loving Midwesterners for years, and Austinites finally get a chance to take in their live performance tonight at Red Eyed Fly.

They've been heralded as a "Fugazi for the next generation" (Playback St. Louis), and their latest album, Western Reserve, has been given accolades all over the music world. Produced by J Robbins (Promise Ring, Shiner) and engineered by Neal Schmitt and Jon Chinn, it's been called "the best release by one of Columbus's best bands" (The Other Paper).

Big, dense and melody-driven, Miranda Sound promise to put on a great show, so join us in giving them a big Austin welcome tonight.
