Austinist Giveaway: Willie Heath Neal at Antone's, Tonight

Nashville country singer Willie Heath Neal was, in his young adulthood, part of a punk rock troupe during a few years spent traipsing around Asia with the Navy. Born in the backseat of a Georgia state trooper's car, Neal inherited his mother's dream of having a career in music, and after returning to the states in his early twenties decided to return to the country and honky tonk that had informed much of his childhood. In the ten years since then, he's toured with the likes of Hank Williams III and Reverend Horton Heat, and developed a sound that Cargo Music calls "straight out of backwoods Hickville, USA."
Lonesome, his latest LP from Austin-based Chicken Ranch Records, is available now in local record shops and online. We're giving away a copy of it in conjunction with his show at Antone's tonight:
Willie Heath Neal appears tonight as part of the Peavey showcase during NAMM, at Antones. Also on the bill are Gary Hoey, Tia Carrera (the band, not Wayne's girlfriend) and Lucas Martin. Willie takes the stage around 8:30pm.
