Ghostland Observatory to Play Lollapalooza

glo.jpg

We've probably mentioned Ghostland Observatory a time or two in the past, well make it a time or three, as the boys have recently been added to the star-studded Lollapalooza lineup. The dynamic duo of Thomas Turner and Aaron Behrens will be playing a noon-time set on the opening day of the three-day fest in Chicago’s Grant Park. Apparently promoter Charles Attal saw the boys perform at halftime of a recent rollerderby and was sold. For those of you who are fans and wonder if this gig will interfere with their scheduled show at Emo's on the 5th, fear not, they will be driving back after their show in Chicago to make their date with Pong and the Lions.

GLO joins the growing local contingency that already includes Austin’s St. James and Sound Team, and Dripping Springs’ Iron & Wine. (Yes, Sam Beam now lives in Dripping Springs, before you get all comment-crazy.)
