yea, well, i obviously did not mean it in the sense, though the idea of kenny g does pop into my head when i say it. i meant: "even and uninterrupted in flow or flight" smooth. i guessi could have also said grittiest, nastiest, et al. i guess i felt juxtaposing smooth with funky made it clear these guys are not in the kenny g realm. nor are any of the aformentioned artists, as you undoubtedly are aware. kenny g., ruining the language once again.

For the record, "smoothest" is probably not an adjective these guys would want associated with them. It has definite "Kenny G" overtones.
