Vote for Pedro Austinist

It's that time of year again, Austin. Although it seems like it happens about three times a year, the Austin Chronicle is conducting its annual Best Of Austin poll. While we obviously have certain favorites (Laguna Gloria, Curra's, El Chile, Mi Madre's, Eastside Cafe, Vespaio, the Backyard, the Parish, Continental Club, Hotel San Jose, DJ Prince Klassen, the Draugh Horse, Gingerman, Lovejoy's, Flipnotics, Casino El Camino, Club DeVille, the Off Center, KUT, KLRU, Quorum Report, Pink Dome, Barton Springs pool, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Tesoro's, the Blanton Museum, etc.), we are specifically interested in a couple of categories that hit a little more close to home than the rest.

This year we are keeping a close eye on the Best Web Sites for Entertainment and Information, as well as Best Local Blogger. While there is some bit of pride involved, we are hoping for a strong showing in said categories, as we feel it would reflect the strong sense of community that Austinist is trying to create. There would be no Austinist if it weren't for you, our loyal (and opinionated readers). So, we bashfully ask that, if you like what you've been reading on the site for the past 16 months (or however long you've been reading) that you pop on over to the Chronicle website and cast your vote for your favorite local site. You must complete your ballots by Monday, July 10th. And, no funny stuff, Austin. One person, one vote.

Even if you don't vote for us, head on over and make your voice heard. Because you can't bitch about the results if you don't use your vote. We'll now shamefully crawl back under our desks.
