Austin Lawyer in Coma Following Accident at Black Crowes Concert

MADDLOGO.gifAuthorities have released names of the injured from the horrible accident outside of the Black Crowes show Saturday night. The most seriously injured individual was young Austin lawyer Jeff Wilson. Wilson had attended the show with his wife and another couple and was crossing 620 to eat at Springhill Restaurant following the show when a drunk Mary Dodgen careered into them after jumping a curb in her Mitsubishi Eclipse. Wilson suffered massive head and brain injuries and lies in a coma in Brackenridge hospital. We would imagine many of you know the young Wilson. The 32 year-old lawyer was a rising star in the criminal defense field and Austin who has always lived his life full of passion. An admitted insomniac, Wilson is a huge lover of music and the outdoors and had recently been sharing his thoughts on life and the world through his blog. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wilson family and friends, as well as those of fellow victim Wesley Morrison.

Ms. Dodgen blew a .148 after being arrested, almost twice the legal limit. She faces up to twenty years in jail if convicted.

It's a little bit fucked up that the lyrics to Band of Horses' "Funeral" are so prominently displayed on the home page of his blog.

Jeff Wilson has since passed away:

So sad to think this could have been prevented.
