The Seton Family of Hospitals, Central Texas' largest healthcare provider, is going to get even bigger by the end of next year, when the new Seton Medical Center Williamson opens its doors. The state-of-the-art facilities will sit on a 74-acre spread in Round Rock; the 320,000-square-foot complex, when complete, will house several medical office buildings, an ambulatory surgery center, diagnostic and imaging centers, and over 300 beds.
"The new medical campus, including the hospital, professional office building and ambulatory surgery center will offer numerous opportunities for affiliation with a variety of specialists and primary care physicians," said Gary Piefer, MD, vice president of Medical Affairs, Seton Medical Center Williamson. "Our goal is to attract the most qualified and committed medical professionals to Seton Medical Center Williamson and provide them with the latest medical technologies in a healing environment."
In an interesting new-age twist, the facility intends to promote a "peaceful environment ... where nature, technology and spirituality coexist" by putting in healing gardens, a chapel, and a "reflection room," intended for people of all faiths to utilize. Seton Medical Center Williamson is scheduled to break ground later this summer.

Oddly enough, I think the proposed site is literally down the street and not too far from already under construction Scott & White Medical Hospital in the same area...
