Songwriters, You Have Two Days Left.

pianistadj.JPG

A day late, a dollar... calm down. You'll get your submission prepped in time. Just skip work like you usually do.

72 hours isn’t much time to get all those notes organized and the clefs all sync’d up. Or whatever. How does one write a song anyway? No clue.
48 hours is even less.

But for those who DO know, Coyotemusic and Texas Time Records/Wonderland Studios have a June 30th deadline to find two songs to be performed by the winners of a previous contest. Writing royalties and whatnot. Read the print below. You only have TWO days left to enter! JUNE 30th IS THE END DATE!

DETAILS AFTER THE JUMP!

THE 72-HOUR TEXAS TIME RECORDS/WONDERLAND STUDIOS SONG SEARCH!

Austin, TX June 27, 2006 – CoyoteMusic has teamed-up with Austin-based Texas Time Records/Wonderland Studios to complete their search for two songs to be recorded by the winners of the Java Cats Vocalists of the Year Competition. The songs will be included on a CD slated for release later this summer. Standard royalty rates of 8.25 cents per song per unit sold will be paid quarterly to the writer(s)/publisher(s). The songs need to be previously unreleased, not currently available to the public. Please only submit songs that you believe fit the type of songs needed, described below. The deadline for submissions is firm at June 30, 2006. The songwriters chosen will be notified via email or phone by July 15, 2006.

The Java Cats Vocalists of the Year Competition winners are Allen Bowie and Jacqueline Laflamme. Allen is an incredible singer with a very big voice that displays his heavy gospel influence. Rhythm and Blues songs along the lines of Al Green or Marvin Gaye are what the CD producers have in mind for Allen. Jacqueline has a beautiful voice and won over the competition judges with her performance of both R&B and Pop-Rock songs in the vein of Mary J. Blige and Kelly Clarkson.

Due to the tight deadline, please only submit songs via email as attached files or links to a website where the song is available for listening. Send all submissions to info[at]coyotemusic[dot]com with the following subject header: Texas Time Records/Wonderland Studios Song Search.
