Blindfolded Man Does Pilates, Bluesman Plays Accompaniment

And...there's vodka somewhere in the mix! No really, we just caught wind of this about an hour ago, and among the many interesting events lucky Austinites can choose from tonight, this is by far the funkiest. And it's free!

Tonight only, 7pm, at the Vortex Theater, Green Tiger Pilates and Tito's Handmade Vodka present The Blindfolded Reformer.

Certified pilates instructor Eric Schimel performs a series of pilates moves called the "Advanced Reformer Routine"...blindfolded. But wait, there's more! Schimel will be accompanied by "music on five instruments" by bluesman extraordinaire Guy Forsyth. We're quite familiar with Forsyth's work (he is our not-so-secret local crush -- isn't he everyone's?), and we imagine him playing all five of those instruments at once. Guy could do it!

All of this stretchy, multi-talented fun will be capped off with a reception at the nearby Green Tiger Pilates studio. Maybe that's where the vodka comes in?
