Another Battle of Brobdingnagian Breadth!

Last summer, a community radio DJ from Nashville set out to accomplish the unthinkable: she was going to profile every single band scheduled to play at Austin City Limits on her mp3 blog. We followed her progress ever since she contacted us about the Herculean endeavor; mostly, we just wanted to see at what point she'd finally throw in the towel and say, by god, enough.

She did, of course, finish the entire roster.

This year, Janet Timmons of Out the Other once again attempts to repeat the remarkable feat of illuminating for the general public all they'd care to know about every damn band that CSE's managed to corral into playing Zilker Park this September:

She's already covered G. Love & Special Sauce, Federico Aubele, The Shins, Phoenix, The Raconteurs and Alexi Murdoch, which leaves her with, uhh, about 124 more to go. Each profile contains both a hefty bit of background info and links to the artists' homepages, myspaces, and a few mp3 tracks. It's absolutely worth checking out, even if you're not attending the fest!
