Where the Wild Things Shop

wild.jpg

Any kid who grew up in Austin knows that the Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve is the absolute shizz. Instead of sitting in your stupid desk all morning, you get to ride the bus to THE WOODS and hike around with your homeys while learning about natural science and other stuff that all the cool kids are into. If you’re into cool grown-up stuff like, say, supporting fun educational environments for Central Texas kiddos, go grab yourself a noodle bowl at Whole Foods today.

Here's the why part, from the Wild Basin Webpage:

The Wild Basin Environmental Education and Natural Science programs will be the recipients of 5 percent of gross sales at Whole Foods Market Gateway and the Whole Foods Market Landmark Store at 6th Street & Lamar on Wednesday, June 21, 2006.

Funds raised from this generous and special offer will be used to furnish a natural science classroom at Wild Basin and to provide field trip scholarships for financially challenged schools in the Central Texas area.
