Waterloo Gets Crazy With The In-Stores This Week

We can't help you with today's Tapes 'N' Tapes show over at Waterloo Records (since they're probably playing right now), but Austin's big indie retailer is chock-a-block with three more great in-stores this week.

Tomorrow at 5pm, folkie/KEXP mainstay Alexi Murdoch will play tunes from his rather Nick Drake-ish disc Time Without Consequence, and as usual, there will be some free beer to drown your sorrows.

Thursday at 5pm, Sub Pop favorites and Toronto natives The Constantines will drop by before hitting Emo's later that night. Unfortunately, no beer for this show.

Finally, funk out your Friday with Gnappy, a local 70's funk and groove outfit that Waterloo compares to both Maceo Parker and Average White Band. The beer returns on Friday, just so you know.

Other Waterloo in-stores this month include Sara Hickman (6/20) and Pete Yorn (6/28). That's an awful lot of free music and beer, so pick your favorite act and go for it.
