2nd Street Turns One

2nd Street District is throwing a collective block party this week to celebrate their first anniversary. From June 15 through Father's Day weekend, they're hosting a bunch of birthday festivities, with proceeds raised from instore "donation jars" going to the nearby Austin Children's Museum.

Thursday, June 15, 6-10pm Block Party with music on the sidewalks from DJ Chicken George, in-store events, and drink and dinner specials all evening long.

• Octane: Live music, food and beverages and 20% off everything in the store Thursday – Sunday!
• Milk & Honey Spa / Retreat / Shop: Free chair massages and cool refreshments all evening.
• Gomi: Live music, free drinks, designer toys, clothing and accessories.
• Mercury Design Studio: Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the premiere of RARE magazine’s        summer issue and launch of Mod Green Pod, the environmentally-friendly line of wallpaper and fabric. Plus, it’s the the debut of Mercury’s custom furniture design studio.
• Loft: Serving drinks, nibbles and a skillful blend of classic and contemporary furniture.
• Cowboy Cool: Open late so you can find the perfect pair of boots!
